17CH AWG Low insertion loss compact desigh for DWDM systems
AWG MUX Description
The Seacent Photonics Arrayed Waveguide Grating (AWG) is a cost-effective, high-performance DWDM mux/demux device operating on 100GHz channel spacing in the C and L Band ITU grid. The PhotonIC™ planar-processed silica-on-silicon chips comprise arrayed channel waveguides to separate or combine multiple wavelengths. Seacent Photonics AWGs allow multiplexing and demultiplexing of multiple 17-channel sub-bands in a single device. Such AWGs considerably simplify inventory management for DWDM network providers. They also offer low insertion loss, excellent channel isolation, ease of fiber handling, and long-term reliability in a compact package. Available in several channel and package configurations, Seacent Photonics AWGs are particularly ideal for OADM applications.
