O band 17CH 150GHZ Athermal AWG Module Compact Size

Description:
 
This kind of Athermal AWG (Arrayed Waveguide Grating) is a high performance DWDM mux/demux device operating on 100GHz channel spacing without the need for temperature stabilization. The planar processed silica-on-silicon chips comprise arrayed channel waveguides to separate or combine multiple wavelengths.
 
Athermal AWG s allow multiplexing and demultiplexing of DWDM signals over a wide operating temperature range, without the need for heater drive and monitoring electronics. These AWGs offer low insertion loss, excellent channel isolation, ease of fiber handling, and long-term reliability in a compact package.
 
Athermal Arrayed Waveguide Grating (Athermal AWG) has equivalent performance to standard AWGs but requires no electrical power for stabilization. Athermal AWGs can be used as direct replacements for Thin Film Filters for cases where no power is available at the shelf and they can also be used outdoors over -30ºC to +70ºC in access applications, extending the cost performance benefits of AWGs.
 
Our thermalization technology simplifies the deployment of AWG multiplexers/demultiplexers by DWDM network providers.
